What does Circle J Horsemanship do?
Colt Starting Program at Circle J Horsemanship: What Does It Entail?

Circle J Horsemanship adopts a flexible approach to its program, recognizing that each horse is unique and may require a tailored training regimen. While there is no set guideline, the program typically spans six weeks, with adjustments made based on the horse's maturity level and, foundational skills such as catching, leading, and picking up feet. By establishing clear communication and understanding on the ground, Circle J Horsemanship facilitates a seamless transition to saddle training.

I sent my 10 year old Clydy x mare to Orin to be started under saddle and couldnt be happier. I breed this mare and have given her basic handling skills during this time but not much else due to life and other horses.
My only regret is I didn't find Orin earlier and sent her to be started. Orin is so gentle and understanding and takes his time. I highly recommend any to bring there horse to Orin to be started, or for further education. Thank you Orin and Hayley for taking care of my Girl she is so grounded one very happy horsey mumma :)
I sent my first Arabian William to Orin way back in the day some 15 years ago and have an absolute gem of a horse, so recently my 2 young Arabians Arlo and Cash were sent to Circle J to be started, so happy with the results and can't wait to participate in future clinics, would highly recommend Circle J as they have an extraordinary talent for horses 😀
I did my first clinic but had no horse I then sent my STB to Orin to do some specific manoeuvres with him to suit my needs I then came back horseless for another learn to rope clinic, now I can’t fault nor say a negative word about the way my horse returned to me his manners his condition his moves, The rope clinic for me was simply amazing I found my faults I got them fixed I learnt heaps. It would have been super to now put the learning g into practice on my horse
Here’s an honest review- I sent a 6 year old shire x QH to circle j horsemanship, he was touchy, sensitive and unbroken. He was with circle j for 6 weeks. The GREEN broken horse I received back from circle j was INCREDIBLE. He was SOFT, RESPONSIVE and WILLING/WANTING to work with me. Our first ride out was nothing short amazing, focused on me, used his thinking side of his brain and looked to me for guidance. He is now a beginners horse in under one year of riding. Circle j are not only awesome people but they start horses the right way! Making sure horses are getting the best start to their riding career. Their putting good horses back into the industry. Thank you Hayley and Orin, see you for my next one!!
Since being told about Circle J Horsemanship from a friend who has had a few horses strarted with them, I have also entrusted them to start my young horses.
Both were partially started, 1 never ridden.
I highly recommend Circle J.
They are upfront, honest and care for your horse, and yourself.
Interested in keeping in touch to ensure the best relationship between you and your horse.
Thank you Orin and Hayley James.
